The Auburn Avenue Times, an Atlanta-based media property with online and print formats, bears the name of the street that was a "living lab for Martin Luther King Jr.'s dreams," according to former Atlanta Mayor Maynard Jackson. The publication seeks to become the leading source of information on politics, development, business, careers and lifestyles for progressive African-Americans in Atlanta.

 

Our focus

The editorial mission of the Auburn Avenue Times is to provide information and serve as a powerful advocate in the following broad categories:

BUSINESS, the editorial board at AAT understands that economics is the key to success for our community.

POLITICS, Without political influence, African-Americans would undoubtedly not have made substantial progress in reaching the financial status, career advancement and quality of life improvement they have attained in Atlanta. For this reason, the Times will keep its readers apprised of the current affairs in Atlanta and Georgia politics.

WEALTH-BUILDING
Is an area that has eluded far too many African Americans. AAT – through its resource alliances and partnerships – will provide information that will prepare them to grow their assets and achieve financial success.

Our audience

Since the primary readers of our content are online visitors to the site, our audience is the whole world. However, we target progressive professionals, civic and community organizations and the most influential faith-based organizations in Atlanta.
